Psalm 119:10-16 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)

10With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
13With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
16I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
Hi!
This a classic passage. This scripture passage is good for growth in Jesus Christ but some go further as to say salvation hangs on this passage in that if you cannot be saved if do not do what this scriptutre says to do. the premise is is that if you do not keep GOD's commandment you cannot be a disciple of Jesus and therefore you are not saved. Being a disciple of Jesus and being saved are two different entities. When you get saved it is the start for becoming a disciple of Jesus . Doing your holiness walk is being a disciple of Jesus because you desire to keep GOD's commands. When you STOP doing your holiness you cease to be a disciple of Jesus, but no where in any shape or form does that mean or constitute that person is NOT SAVED. Now I do agree that the reason we should do GOD's commandments is to express thanksgiving for GOD sending His only Begotten SON, Jesus to die for our sins after of course we ask for and receive forgiveness of sins. There leaders who are telling you in ignorance a lie when they say you must keep GOD's commandments to be saved. Avoid them at all costs! They will make you miserable and not a cheerful giver.
Now before I conclude here, do not get confused with this verse in regards to Psalms 119:10-16:
Romans 10:16-18 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)

16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
I had to mention um this passage so you do say
"Pastor Lane says you can be saved apart from the Bible!"
Now this is very tricky and if you are not careful national or regional guru leaders will take your head off here. So, you can reach souls for Jesus using your own words as long as it does not goe against this passage above and 1 Corimntians 15:1-10 and all of the Bible. So you actually when asking GOD to forgive your sins in Jesus' you hide something far better than just the words of Jesus, The Bible, but you hide GOD, The Word of GOD The Person inside you that when presented before GOD you are blameless and receive eternal life! Isn't that great? So in terms of etrenal destination you really do not sin against GOD! And again, use The Bible with GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT so you may not sin against GOD when IN CHRIST as a believer not for the purpose of getting eternal life because you are already saved, but for the purpose of drawing others that they may have eternal life as you have in Christ and live their lives abundantly and thus have the oportunity in your own words not compromising The Bible or by word for word from the Bible itself!
Have a great week in Jesus Christ!!!
Pastor Lane
